The Treatment Plan feature in Kasper enables users to display and/or send treatment plans to patients electronically, facilitating their review and electronic signature.
To access a patient's treatment plans, follow these steps:
Navigate to the "Communications" tab.
Choose the patient you are interested in.
Click on the "Treatment Plan" section in the Patient Profile.
Here, you'll have the ability to review all treatment plans, both signed and unsigned, that have been saved for that specific patient.
Only active Treatment Plans saved in Open Dental will sync to Kasper and can be accessed from the Patient's Profile under the "Treatment Plan" tab. Please allow 30-60 seconds to sync active saved treatment plans from Open Dental to Kasper.

All Active+Saved unsigned treatment plans in Open Dental will sync with Kasper under the Unsigned section in the Treatment Plan tab. You can access unsigned treatment plans, choose to show them to the patient or send it to them directly via SMS or email.
How to Show a patient a treatment plan
Select the unsigned Treatment Plan within the Patient Profile.
Click on the ellipsis (three dots).
To display the treatment plan in the office to the patient, select "Open in a New Tab." This action opens the selected treatment plan in a new tab.
You can then show it to the patient, who can sign it using the mouse pad or a touchscreen.
Alternatively, you have the option to generate a QR code and use an in-office tablet or iPad to display it to the patient on a web browser. Make sure your tablet/ IPad is signed in to Kasper so you can access the selected Treatment Plan.
How to send a patient a treatment plan
To send a patient a treatment plan via email or SMS, follow these steps:
Select the unsigned Treatment Plan within the Patient Profile.
Click on the ellipsis (three dots).
Select the desired option (email or SMS).
A secure link will be generated and sent to the patient through the chosen method.
The patient will need to verify their identity through the provided link before they can access and sign the treatment plan. This process ensures the security and integrity of the treatment plan as it is shared with the patient electronically.

Treatment plans signed by patients, whether completed in the office or through a provided link, will be stored in the "Signed" section under the "Treatment Plan" tab within the Patient Profile. These signed treatment plans will synchronize with Open Dental, where they will be marked as signed. Additionally, they will be uploaded as PDF copies into the Imaging Folder within Open Dental and subsequently saved in the Treatment Plan folder within Imaging for easy access and record-keeping.
