How to send messages within Kasper. How to communicate with patients within Kasper.

The Communication tab in Kasper provides an easy and convenient way to communicate with your patients. This feature streamlines patient communication and allows you to efficiently manage and respond to patient inquiries and messages, enhancing the overall patient experience.


Sending messages from Kasper

1- Sending a message to any phone number:

To send an SMS message from Kasper, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Communication tab.

  2. Click on "New SMS."

  3. Enter the phone number you want to send the text message to.

  4. Compose your message.

  5. Send the message.

2- Sending a message to an existing patient:

To communicate with a specific patient via text message in Kasper:

  1. Go to the Communication tab.

  2. Use the search bar to search for the patient's name.

  3. Locate the patient in the search results and click on it.

  4. Start texting them from within the Kasper platform.

  5. You can send your message by either clicking the "enter" key or the paper plane send button seen in the chat bar.

Note: Make sure the patient you want to text has their text permissions enabled on OpenDental. If this text permission is not enabled, your patient will not receive text messages sent from Kasper.

Additionally, you can access a log of all the communication history between the office and that specific patient, helping you keep track of past interactions for reference and follow-up.

If the SMS is an automatic message it will show "Sent by Kasper" when the message is sent. If it was sent by a user, the user's name will be displayed.

Filtering messages

In Kasper, you have the option to filter your messages to view only the unread messages. To do this:

  1. Click on the filter icon within the Communication tab.

  2. Select "Unseen Messages Only."

This action will display a list of unseen messages, making it easier for you to prioritize and respond to unread messages efficiently.
